Equal Opportunities Employment

I am in the process of filling out a job application that specifically asks me to address equal opportunity employment, which seems strange because I won't be in a position to hire anyone. As an average-white-guy how do I address this without sounding either condescending or trite?

I was thinking of using my previous employer as a talking point, but talking about how my old workplace was inclusive 1) totally avoids the question and 2) sounds a lot like the old "I'm not racist I know a black guy" chestnut.

I can't quite get the tone right in my answer because all I really want to do is ask if they have ever managed to catch out a sexist/racist person based on these answers, kinda like how the USA literally asks you if you are a terrorist on your way in.

So, advice please!
